A current Hobby of mine is collecting records. I started the hobby thanks to my friend Angel, who started collecting Kanye West records. Since we both love music, we would go to Ralph's Records to see what they had in stock. After that I would buy my own record player and start collecting vinyl records of my favorite albums.
To Pimp A Butterfly by Kendrick Lamar is a Rap album that uses Jazz, Funk, and Westcoast roots to make a thought provoking yet catchy album with deep lyricism. This record alongside Untitled Masterpiece and G.o.o.d Kid M.a.a.d City are the first records I ever bought. I lucked out since both TPAB and UM were used; this allowed me to buy three records for 74$. TPAB is my favorite Rap album and to me is the number one Rap album, maybe even albums in general. Seeing its vinyl record in store felt like a blessing, I find myself listening to the album repeatedly and it gets better with each listen.
These are my personal favorite tracks from TPAB.
Late Registration is a record with Soulful, uplifting, and inspiring tracks that all come together to make a 2000's classic.LR is an album I hold very dear due to how much it's been there for me and how much it can uplift me. Despite being over an hour long, I feel each time I listen to it seconds fly by due to enjoyment. When I visited the record shop, I would always see this record, each time I left it there my mind would be filled with instant regret knowing I left a great album behind. The day I finally purchased the record felt like Christmas came early. Each song is engraved in my mind sending me to my own little world.
These are my personal favorite tracks from LR.
Off The Wall is a Pop, soulful, and funk record that hit the world by storm instantly making it's self an iconic album. OTW is the first Michael Jackson record I've fully listened to and easily caught my heart with ease. While being 43 minutes each song sends you on a blast to from the past making those 43 minutes feel like 5. I bought the record since I felt like I should listen to a Michael Jackson record, it was the first one I saw plus it was only 20$. That first listen felt magical and will always stick to me every time I listen to it.
These are my personal favorite tracks from OTW.
A hobby I've had for years is playing video games. It started with Call of Duty Black ops 1 and has evolved to many different titles. I am an active gamer and regularly play on my ps5 to relax or chat with friends.
Here's a list of some of my recently played games and my opinion on them.
Baldur's Gate is a Solo or Multiplayer action roleplaying game based on Dungeons And Dragons that strives to immerse the player in a fantasy like world. BG3 is an impressive game, it makes you feel like you're at a table playing D&D and are praying to get a high dice roll. Their story telling is amazing, hammering in the fact that your actions have consequences so it's wise to stick to your choices and have faith in them. While the game play is turn based it still manages to be very engaging and makes you either walk in prepared or quick on your feet. To immerse the player even more the customization was solid giving you a lot of options between classes, races, sub-species, upbringing, and physical appearance. While the game has 3 acts in total the 3rd was the weakest but that doesn't make it a bad act at all. Bg3 is a great game if you love D&D or wish to try it, even if you don't care for D&D, it's still a fun RPG leaving much to desire.
For Honor is a new age multiplayer fighting game based on historical melee wielding fighters using its own directional fighting game mechanic to bring something new every time you play. FH is the best yet worst game I've ever played, it evokes an emotion out of you every time you play whether it be negative or positive. The gameplay is its own style that keeps players coming back for more, being a reaction-based game, it challenges not only your game knowledge but also your reflexes. Depending on the type of person you are you can play 5 different factions each with different heroes, Those factions beings Knights, Vikings, Samurai, Wu Lin, and Outlanders. Its #1 flaw is that it's highly competitive with no space for those who want a more hardcore experience. This makes it hard to get into due to the high skill ceiling and competitive atmosphere. But once you're into the game it's very hard to let it go. FH is very addictive and fun especially when you fully understand the game. It does suffer from inconsistent balance changes completely changing the game every 2-3 years making it hard to get back into the game if you left. With great customization and easy access to characters, FH is a strong game with a stronger community. While I don't believe the game is easy to get into, FH is a great game but if you decide to play it be prepared to sink your time into it and have patience.
Dead By Daylight is a multiplayer horror 4v1 game with a wonderful cast of original and classic horror characters. DBD is a solid game with its cat and mouse gameplay encouraging being bold and reliable as a survivor, ot being brutal and overbearing as killer. With killers like Michael Myers (Halloween | 1978), Xenomorph (Alien | 1979), and Pyramid Head (Silent Hill 2 | 2001) DBD can grab your attention easily by using your favorite horror icons then trapping you with their unique gameplay. Same can be said for survivors with iconic collaboration characters like Lara Croft (Tomb Raider | 1996), Leon Kennedy (Resident Evil 2 | 1998), and Nicolas Cage. While the game mechanics are easy to get into to catch up to other players, it is more difficult due to so many characters with great perks, that either takes a long time to unlock or is locked behind a paywall. But whenever you sink time into the game it's hard to leave it, especially if you spend money on it. It does suffer from inconsistent balance changes completely changing the game every 2-3 years like For Honor. DBD is a game made for horror enthusiast or just someone trying to play a spooky and a survivor or killer.
